Will it work on my Mac?
MyWords needs macOS 26.0 or later and a Mac with Apple silicon, such as M1, M2, M3 or M4. Intel Macs are not supported.
Open the Apple menu and choose About This Mac to check your chip and macOS version.
Can I transcribe saved audio?
MyWords is for speaking into your microphone. It does not import audio files, voice memos or saved recordings.
Can I keep the exact words?
Yes. Choose Verbatim for the transcript as MyWords heard it, without polishing. Choose a style such as Note, Email or Message when you want help tidying the wording.
Can I use MyWords offline?
Yes, once your speech and writing tools are set up. Your audio and text are processed on your Mac, even when you are offline.
Why are permissions needed?
Microphone access lets MyWords hear you. The macOS permission called Accessibility lets it place the finished text in your other apps. You can change either in System Settings.
How does the free trial work?
The trial includes 30 minutes of transcribed audio in total, counted as you use it. There is no card to enter and no automatic charge. After that, you will need a paid licence to keep transcribing. Purchases are not open yet.
What about future updates?
One year of updates comes with your purchase. After that, your app keeps working at the last version included with your licence. If you want newer versions, an optional discounted licence for existing owners will be available; that price has not been announced yet.
