Something else getting in the way? The support guide covers common problems.
Will it work on my Mac?
Open the Apple menu at the top left of your screen and choose About This Mac. You’ll need:
- An Apple chip: M1 or newer. Intel Macs are not supported.
- macOS 26.0 or later.
MyWords is a Mac app. It is not available for Windows, iPhone or iPad.
Do I need the internet?
You’ll need one to download the app and any speech or writing tools you choose during setup. Once those are ready, you can dictate offline. Your recordings and text stay on your Mac.
How does the free trial work?
You get 30 minutes of transcribed speech in total, counted as you use it. There’s no card to enter and no automatic charge. After those minutes, you’ll need a licence to keep transcribing.
Buy it once and the key arrives by email. See pricing.
Can I transcribe saved audio?
MyWords turns speech from your microphone into text. It does not import audio files or saved voice memos.
Why isn’t my text appearing?
Make sure your cursor is in a place you can type. Then open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility and check that MyWords is enabled.
If MyWords cannot hear you, check its Microphone permission in the same Privacy & Security settings.
